Swim, Swim, Swim!
I love the water. Ever since I was 18 months old, I have been swimming all on my own, just dreaming of what could be there. When I was 10, I started to swim competitively. Ever since, I have been in water every day after school for two hours. I am now 16. I swim so often that I am actually immune to the smell of chlorine. Crazy, right?! I always wonder why I love the sport so much, and my only answer is because I simply love the feeling of the water. My best stroke is Butterfly... I think because of the dolphin kick. I don't think I will ever stop swimming. Ever!
Southern California- The Best Beaches of the West
I live in Utah. What's in Utah? Desert. Mountains. The only beaches are on the shores of muggy lakes. Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful place to live! Other than that, it's not my ideal place to visit. MY favorite place is California! Laguna Beach really strikes me as my true "Home." It is the street full of art and beauty! The little shops and places are so neat. Whenever we visit Cali, we always hit up Laguna. I mean, art, food, and the ocean? How could you go wrong?! I always love a place where you can watch the sun set over the water.

Believe it! ...or not.
It all makes sense! After reading countless books about mermaids, I understand why some people don't believe in them! Sceptics ask, "Why have I never seen a real mermaid? Where do they live? Can they even talk? What do they do?'' Well my freinds, I will tell you. (I'm kind of an expert on all things mermaids)
Merpeople live under water. That's a given. In the ocean, sometimes bays, and even lakes! A mermaid can even live on land, like the rest of us. They are capable of speaking English, but only when in human form. They blend in with the rest of us... Probably why you haven't seen one yet. They go throughout their days just like us... except for in another world under the sea.
If you really want to catch a glipse of a mermaid, go to a quiet beach away from the human world chaos, sing a melody, and wait for the magic to happen.

What's In the Water?
Most people think mermaids are just in fairy tales; they are a part of our imagination. But are they? Could it be possible that there are such things as half human, half marine creatures out there? Think about it, 90% of our oceans have yet to still be discovered. Is there a mermaid kingdom underneath the waves?
